Another great collection of short stories
Over the summer I picked up a few used books from a good used book store on Adam's Avenue (in San Diego). Some of the books sounded very interesting (The Resurrection by Leo Tolstoy), others just had intrinsic value based solely on the merit of their visible content(40 Masterworks of Edward Hopper), yet others just had interesting titles (the Death of Ivan Ilych and other short stories by Leo Tolstoy).
Not having read anything by Tolstoy, I decided to start with his short stories. To my pleasant surprise, I found the stories to be very engaging and believable. I have spent the last couple of months savoring each of the short stories, and I actually found myself enjoying each story more than the previous one! I would like to spend some time re-reading these stories to make note of details that I may have overlooked the first time through. Furthermore, I am really looking forward to checking out his other works as well.
